The Mochi Mouse is quite an interesting pet. Added during the Cooking Event, it is the only Grow a Garden pet with such a varied appearance. Like the other Gourmet Pets, the Mochi Mouse is also made of food. Just like real mochi can come in different colors, this pet can appear in red, green, and other variations. Shape-wise, it resembles the other mice in the game and appears to be carrying some mochi on its back.
The Mochi Mouse is a Mythical-tier pet and has two traits. It is essentially an experience farm that increases the XP gain of all other Food-type pets that are active in your garden. Here is a complete breakdown of what it does:
The Mochi Mouse’s Mochi Marathon trait makes it very similar to theIguanadondinosaur pet from thePrehistoric update. This makes it one of the best XP-farming pets in Grow a Garden as of the Cooking Update. Having at least one active Mochi Mouse is a must if you have other Food-type pets in your garden and want to boost their age. Remember, pets must be at least level 50 for theMutation chamber.
How To Get the Mochi Mouse
All the other Food-type pets introduced in the Cooking Update can be hatched from the newly addedGourmet Egg. However, you cannot get the Mochi Mouse this way. Instead, you can obtain it as part of the Cooking Rewards when you submit food to Chris P.
For those unfamiliar, Chris P is the Cooking Event NPC you’re able to find at the center of the map in the latest update.
