Johnny Depp Called Donald Trump a Bully
In his comments,Johnny Deppsuggested that his approach to portrayingDonald Trumpwasn’t solely based on wealth or privileged upbringing. He emphasized observing certain qualities within Trump, particularly a sense of artificiality and a tendency toward bullying, labeling him a “brat.”
Depp said (viaVariety):
“It’s not just about being a rich kid or anything like that. I approached Donald Trump as what you kind of see in him when you really watch him. There’s a pretense. There’s something created about him in the sense of bullydom. But what he is, I believe, is a brat.”
In his remarks, Johnny Depp highlighted the peculiar direction that Trump’s speeches often take. Drawing a comparison to past presidential rhetoric, he humorously contrasted Reagan’s famous “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down that wall!” with Trump’s ambitious yet contentious plan to build a wall and have Mexico foot the bill.

Depp is just one of many celebrities who have voiced their opposition to Trump. In the past, Louis C.K. likened Trump to Hitler, labeling him an “insane bigot.”
