Today, Google has officiallylaunched Android 11, the next big Android update, after months ofbeta testing.
As of now, the update is available on all Pixel devices except the Pixel 1. However, Googlehas saidthat more partners will be “launching and upgrading devices over the coming months.” Now, MIUI’s official account hastweetedthe “first batch” of Xiaomi devices that are first on cue to receive theAndroid 11 update.

Xiaomi was among many Chinese OEM’s who participated in the Google beta program. However, the Android 11 beta build released by Xiaomi was stock Android. It goes without saying that the new update won’t be an AOSP-based build but rather MIUI 12 based on Android 11.
According to Xiaomi, the first batch of devices to receive the MIUI 12 Android 10 update includes Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro.

In the image shared by the MIUI twitter handle, it says the update is “Available now,” however, Xiaomi hasn’t rolled out an MIUI 12 Android 11 beta build for now. For those who don’t know,Xiaomi is recruiting Mi fansfor its MIUI 12 Android 11 beta program. Owners of the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Poco F2 Pro can apply for the program until September 9th.
Android 11 comes withmany interesting featuressuch as a new conversations section in thenotification shade, one-time permission for apps, device controls in the power button menu, and a lot more. It will be interesting to see how Android 11 features will look on MIUI 12, and what exclusive features will come along with the Android 11-based MIUI 12 update.
