Denzel Washington is among the few actors in Hollywood who prefer performing their own stunts. However, throughout his career, the actor has showcased his versatility by opting for various genres of films. But when it comes to action films, the actor certainly has a knack for it. Recently, the actor once again collaborated with renowned filmmaker Antoine Fuqua for the latest filmThe Equalizer 3.
During an interview, the filmmaker shared insights into working with Washington. Fuqua also mentioned how dedicated and passionate Washington is for his work, but there are times when his passion bothers him. Fuqua explained that Washington gets so engrossed in performing his stunts that he doesn’t even care about his safety.

Throughout his career,Denzel Washingtonhas given a varied range of performances, but one of the most celebrated performances of his career is that of revenge-seeking vigilante Robert McCall in The Equalizer film series. Throughout his run in the film series, the actor has delivered incredible performances, and of course, his action scenes were undeniably show-stealers.
WithEqualizer 3, the actor is back in action. Interestingly, the 68-year-old actor performs his own stunts, without the help of any body-double. While his passion for his work is indeed commendable, his carefree attitude often bothers filmmaker Antoine Fuqua.

During an interview, Fuqua recalled working with veteran actor Washington and expressed his respect for the actor’s dedication towards his work, but also showed his concern for his unbothered attitude towards his safety. The director said,
“He’s still got it. He trains every day. I’d have to tell Denzel, ‘Let me get the stunt guy to do this one.’ He’s like, ‘I got it!’ You have to protect him from himself!'”
While Fuqua is concerned for Washington’s safety, he has been a witness to Washington’s determination for his work as the two have collaborated on several projects.

During an interview, Fuqua expressed his admiration for Washington and claimed that the two get along really well.
“Our rhythm is like music. I guess the only way I could describe it is, I would imagine it’s like two musicians who just pick up their instruments and go, and they just start riffing, and it flows.”
The Equalizer 3is now running in theaters.
